Nusa Dua Fiesta 2019 is one big event taking place on Peninsula Island held from October 25 to 27 by Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) as the main organizer. For previous 9 years, it has been best known as Nusa Dua Festival until 2005.

During this three day festivity, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita said on Thursday of best estimation of at least 15 thousand visitors is coming to attend the festival. One of these theme is “Coloring the Beauty of Bali” highlights rich variety of Balinese arts, along with other cultural events of dance and musical performances, a culture illusionist show, an international body painting contest, a colossal dance performance, a drone race, and other activities to entertain visitors.

"The Nusa Dua Charm Fiesta 2019 will present three music bands such as Padi Reborn, Fourtuwnty and HIVI! that will entertain audiences of various generations," Ngurah Ardita said. HIVI! will take the stage on first day, Padi Reborn on the second day, and Fourtuwnty on the last day of the Fiesta.

Pendet dance will be Balinese traditional performances to be taken by 100 children. Other traditional performances from various regions in Indonesia will include on the stage the Bekasi Mask Dance, the Mapolana Dance from West Sulawesi, and the Reor Ponorogo Dance from East Java.

"Visitors could also buy various souvenirs and handicrafts, enjoy local cuisines combining traditional and modern culture during the Nusa Dua Charm Fiesta," he added.

This festival is made possible by the cooperation of the State Enterprise Ministry, the Tourism Ministry, the Badung Regional Administration, as well as local NGOs and artists. Indonesian Tourism Ministry has made The Nusa Dua Charm Fiesta a regular into Calendar of 100 Events.

"We hope that the Nusa Dua Charm Fiesta could help attract tourists to Bali in general and Nusa Dua in particular," he noted.

In late 2018, the Tourism Ministry launched a Calendar of 100 Wonderful Indonesian Tourism Events to stimulate the Indonesia's tourism attractions and attract foreign tourists. The calendar is the initiative of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to tell the world that the country has various events of international standards.

The ministry has intensified the role of the Tourist Information Center (TIC) and coordinated with various regional administrations to step up tourism promotion activities. This year the target of visits from overseas tourists has been revised from past target of 20 million to 18 million.

Natural disasters as those of several unpredictable circumstances have stagnated the arrivals of foreign tourists in the first semester this year, forcing a revision in the target, the ministry explained in late July.
